Oh, Sally, Red Velvet Cake is absolutely toothsome & decadent when a proper recipe is used. The only way to describe it is rich, rich, rich disgustingly rich - if you get it from a specialty bakery & not just from a restaurant. Or, if you know someone who has their own recipe or family recipe - just the best. Course, the Red Velvet Cake has to vie with the Milk Chocolate Layer Cake for first place in my heart but it usually wins out.
No, we didn't make Victoria Sandwich in the tea course & now I feel deprived. I've got to Google that one!
