I think I paid $70 for my ex-pen, got it at PetSmart. Shop around online, sometimes you can find one on sale, or even a used one on Craigslist. Another alternative would be to get a baby gate (get a plastic one, the wood ones mine liked to chew
) and restrict him to the kitchen or a bathroom at unsupervised times. If you put him in the bathroom, PLEASE make sure the toilet lid is down, as they can fall in and drown, it happened to a member here a while ago
I'd also remove or put up high any wastebasket and definitely put the toilet paper up where he can't get it, they ADORE shredding TP
It takes a lot of patience and vigilance to raise these little ones safely. They are terriers, after all, so they have a lot of spunk and stubbornness
