I'm so sorry your going through this with your chi!!! That's an extremely scary experience!! I'm glad to hear she is responding to some of the treatment!!! I had the exact same symptoms happen with my very tiny poodle about 9 years ago. I came home to find the exact same symptoms with him that you are describing. Like you, it scared me half to death.
My dog eventually was diagnosed with irritable bowel disease. They started my dog on antibiotics, steroids, and a very bland prescription diet. He began to do much much better. He still had a little bit of blood in his stool for a few days initially, but as the medicine got into his system, it stopped completely. This might be something totally different than what is going on with your baby, but thought I'd share what happened with us.
