I lost my little furbaby last year, and my heart truly breaks for you!! Mine was almost twelve, and I too wished for more time. And once it is the end, your heart aches for even a few more hours or a day. But you should NEVER question what you did or second guess yourself. Believe me I know that is so much easier said than done!! I do understand you doing so because you want to know you did the best thing for Cosmo, and it's clear how much you loved him. But, as others have said you gave him a gift of no more pain. You made the biggest personal sacrifice by letting him go and choosing to give him this gift. It is sooo incredibly selfless to have put what was best for him above your personal heartache!!! I am saying prayers for you as you deal with this heartache, and I am sooooo sorry for your loss!!!!! |
