When I get home I let her out again, and then I take a shower, some days I work from home and some days I go on appointments. But IMHO having a puppy since you work and work out so close to home should not have to make you turn your life upside down. on thing you should plan for if you are going to train her to go outside is to allow for plenty of time, because often it is maddening if they just keep sniffing and sniffing and not going, so you might have to get up earlier or cut your workout time down if you need to be a work at a set time. Lola was 4 months when I got her and I have always free fed my dogs so I never get worked up or worried about feeding schedules.QUOTE]
I live in a duplex, we have a backyard. I'm skeptical about leaving food down for two reasons...1. It will have wet food mixed in and I know that draws ants, bacteria, etc....and 2. I fear I wont know exactly how much he is eating. (do you only leave dry food down?) I wanted to put food down in the morning, then take him out. Come back at Lunch, and I am usually home by 4:30pm. So if they free feed do they just always go on the pee pads instead of outside? I plan on pee pad and outside training. Thought putting food down at certain times would help that.
Does Lola free eat and go on the pee pad when she needs to? | I would not leave a puppy without food. I would leave dry down all the time.
