Oh my goodness! I am so sorry! I hope she is better quickly.

I always thought the body elevates the temp to create an unsuitable climate for micro-organism population...to kill them off and/or reduce their numbers. A reduction in temp may be different. However, I have known people who would have lowered temps when they were sick and 'running a fever' though, so not sure what to tell you...I am not a medical person...but I do know there are situations where the body isn't good at maintaining its temp...cannot remember off-hand what any are, though...except that my pre-term second child had that problem for a little while.

Poor baby...poor you...try not to worry even though it's a bit scary when they get sick. {{{Hugs}}}
