In my opinion, the only reason they are doing that is for their benefit, not the pups. It is a well known fact that puppies need their mothers until they are older...so much to be learned! If he was not eating with mom, he was not ready! I urge you to do your reading on YT about the many pups that were purchased at such a young age and how many problems came up. Here is just one of the threads...this pup was purchased at a young age and now is not able to socialize with other pups...she has no clue she is a dog.
