It is hard to read the S&I section sometimes... I know I have picked up a lot of stray dogs and the first thing I do is take them to be scanned. I've been lucky so far, and only one animal that I've picked up has been sick... A kitten that was sitting in the middle of the road with its sibling had its eyes completely shut due to infection. A vet tech at my vet took them both in and found them great homes. However, if an animal that you take in is injured or sick... You have to take it to the vet, not let it suffer and die in your care
