I've never had a male dog before and this is all new to me. Does all this sound right?
yes, that all is quite normal.
when my oscar was nuetered one of his testicles was undescended and he came thru the surgery just fine.
just keep an eye on the incisions and make sure the reddness and swelling is going away . if it looks like it is getting worse call your vet right away as it could be a mild infection. he should be fine
