I don't personally like Eukanuba or Purina. I'm sure some dogs do fine on them, and they have their place, but I try to avoid by-products, wheat, corn, soy, unnamed meat sources, etc.
But not only that, I like to have the food coming from a smaller plant, produced in their own facilities (i.e. not outsourcing, like the whole recent Diamond fiasco). If you're on a budget, check out Nutrisource or Precise. I also really like Champion Pet Foods (Orijen/Acana), Fromm, Petcurean Foods (Go!/Now!), Lotus, Canine Caviar, Earthborn, etc.
If she needs to lose weight, try to simply feed less and exercise more! |
