I have read that you can gradually move the pee pad closer and closer to the door and then take the whole pad outside. When she starts using her pad outside you can cut it into smaller and smaller pieces until there is no pad out there and she is just using the bathroom outside. And praise, praise, praise everytime she goes outside so she knows you are happy. I am starting to try to train my yorkie to ring bells when she needs to go. I just ask her "do you have to go pottie?" then I take her to the door and help her ring the bells with her paw and then take her outside so she knows that ringing the bells is associated with going potty outside.
