When Suzi was less then a year or two she was right at the 7lb mark. however, i noticed she felt like she was skin an bones and was worried she was not eating enough. I changed her diet to taste of the wild, last week she had a vet check up and she was now 10 pounds! I thought she was smaller then my shih tzu, but they were right around the same weight. I personally would rather have a healthy yorkie that may or may not fit into the standard weight, then have to worry if she is thriving or not. Since your puppy is very young she will keep growing and her weight will even out , as long as she is healthy and thriving it does not matter how big your baby will be.
