I've known more dogs from mills and byb's than from good breeders. Some were sickly and some were perfectly healthy. You just never know. When you go through a reputable breeder for a pet quality dog, you're primarily purchasing peace of mind.
Reputable breeders don't make squat off the sale of a puppy.
Mills make millions.
Don't beat yourself up. Love her. It doesn't matter where she came from, what her AKC papers say or what's in her pedigree. Unless you're going to breed her, none of this matters. I never sent in the papers on either of my girls. I could care less. AKC CAN do something about the mills. It's just more profitable not to, so I won't give them any of my money. | Some mills will mix yorkies and silkies as well as some bybs.
