I actually NEVER asked help in deciding whether or not I should BREED my Yorkshire Terrier. And despite my succeeding posts that indicated that I may not and actually no longer will go through with it, Im still being told why I should NOT breed my yorkie. I am a newbie at Yorkshiretalk forum and Mojo is my first yorkie.. but it doesnt mean Im a new dog owner or that I have no experience with dogs. Initially, it feels flattering to see so many people reacting to my post and even tho most comments are harsh and have a tendency to sound belittling, some were kind and encouraging.

I think had I read more extensively at other posts on this forum, then I probably would have realized early on that there is an anti-breeding sentiment among most members.. regardless wheter the yorkie's small or regular size. This actually makes me wonder if all your yorkies comes from shelters or are rescues. I just saw on tv Dog Whisperer's episode where they "raided" a Puppy mill. Watching that episode was truly heart wrenching and in a way made me understand, a little, such strong passion to discourage breeding.
We are not anti breeding we are anti bad breeding there is a very big difference. Good breeders breed to better the breed not just to do it or to make money like most bad breeders do.
