Astro has extreme motion sickness. Even using a Thundershirt in addition to drugs, he was no better. It was worth a try, though!
I have a friend who's dog is infinitely better during thunderstorms since using it. To each dog their own, I suppose! |
Some dogs have actual motion sickness when in a car, and this produces anxiety. Motion sickness is when the eye and the inner ear don't agree on how they are moving, and many dogs benefit by placing them in a car seat where they can see out, which helps the eye and the inner ear agree. Also, motion sickness pills, rather than just plain old anxiety pills, will help these dogs.
