We got the results back today. It's a mast cell tumor, but the doctor doesn't know whether it's benign or not. He said they have to remove the tumor and then test it to determine whether it's grade 1 (benign) or grade 2 or 3 (requiring chemo). My poor baby is only 1 1/2. I can't believe this is happening.
Shouldn't the doctors know from the pathology whether it's benign or not?
How invasive is her surgery going to be? Will she be in a great deal of pain afterwards? Any recovery stories would be really helpful.
