I'm assuming this is a first baby? I think many of us here can attest to how difficult this period of time is, the new baby, the lack of sleep, the demands of life, not to mention the hormones and changes the mind and the body go through for new moms and new dads.

Unless your wife really has a problem and has never liked your furkids, I think you should reconsider your decision; rather, make some changes that can help her and ease the pressures and demands of this "new life" you are both living in. Perhaps you can put the pups in "day care" or with a petsitter during the day for a few months until life has evolved into a "new normal". Perhaps you can find a room in the house to make into the room for the pups and change the daily routine? I think in the end, you will both regret your decision. Please take some time to step back and sit down and communicate together about the positives of keeping the dogs?

If not and there is no hope, your decision to hand them to a rescue is a good one. Just please make sure you are absolutely positive before you do this. Good luck and god bless.
I know how it feels to have 2 furbabies, a new human baby and then start back to work after maternity leave. It is so hard but it doesn't last forever. Our son is 4 1/2 and he helps with Coco and Georgie and loves them like we do. I hope everything works out for you and your family.
