I may be slow today, but is that London, England, London Ontario, London someplace else? It would be best to post the locale unambigiously.
I'm so sorry you find yourself in this position. Like Lynzy said have you really put your thinking caps on? What exactly does your wife find difficult? Are there are ways you can step up to the plate. Maybe take over the feeding and walking? Maybe have a pet walker during midday to take pups out and play and exercise with them; even if it is only three times per week? Eight years is a long time to have the pups, and you must have thought about the pups before you planned the pregnancy. Perhaps there is a neice/nephew/grandma/grandpa, that can pitch in and help out for a bit.
It just is very sad to have to re-home two family members. Also if after more thought you do decide to go ahead; you m ight want to post in the Yorkie Rescue and New Homes needed with pertinent details. And of course surrendering to a rescue is always a good option.
All the best for you and the family
