I am a new Yorkie owner. For me I can't have the little one sleep with me. I know that I go on vacations and she will need to stay with others. She can snuggle in bed with me, but then she goes to her bed.
She can go stay with my mom, my friend or my neighbor who has a Yorkie. If she only sleeps with me then this might be very traumatic.
With that said, I am on night three of "tough love" She is in her kennel with toys and her bed, and she is learning that that is where she is going to sleep. The first night she barked, wined, cried and shook the kennel all night, each night has gotten a bit better.
I am home with her all day most days, only leaving for two hours or so. |
