My two have always slept with us and we haven't had any problems. I think it's all personal preference... If you don't want them sleeping with you forever, I wouldn't allow it. My two would not be happy sleeping on the floor, and that's one of the reasons we couldn't have anymore dogs
I need my space when I sleep, so anything more than two on our king bed would be TOO crowded.
