You will have to let him cry and ignore it or he will keep doing it if you let him out. If he wakes up in the middle of the night and cried I would take him potty and then put him back. Its hard but its the only way it will work. I would not switch from Royal Canin its the better food of the two plus by keeping him on the same food he was on when he came from the breeder it will help him not stress out so much because something will be the same. When Callie would nip the only thing that worked for her was a squirt bottle of water and to squirt her and say no when she would nip.
