Hi. I remember when we had to isolate our yorkie, Mollie, to my bedroom until all her shots were done, she'd whine and cry when she's in her crate at night too. There's this really helpful e-book, After You get your Puppy. The advice I got there was when your puppy whines at night.. go to her crate, sit with her for a while, (don't play her bec. she'd want to play) when she settles down a little, Id say "night night" or "sleep" Mollie and go back to bed. Initially, she whines again I'd get up and sit with her again but this time just briefly, then id say "night night" or "sleep mollie" Next time she whines again. Id just call out "sleep mollie" or "night night". Eventually she stops whining.

Hope this works for you.
