Wow, reading all of these responses, I guess I got lucky. Teaka did very well with potty training. It took a bit longer than any other dog I've had, but she was trained by the time she was 6 months old I think. She still uses her potty pad when it rains or snows but other than that, she goes outside.
I recommend training them on potty pads first!! Then once they get the hang of that, slowly move the pad outside until they go on the grass. Also have some sort of command word. "Pee or Wee Wee". Now for Teaka its just "Outside"
