I have 4 Yorkies. The bowl size is not really anything I ever worried about. I use ceramic and I have a set of 12 bowls.( cereal bowls )The bowls hold about a cup of food. I feed twice a day, 1/4 cup kibble and 1/4 to 1/2 cup home cooked. I worry about old food and dirty dishes. I don't free feed. I give them time to eat in their crate, then whisk the used bowls to the dishwasher. I have a several shallow heavy crock bowls with fresh water down at all times.
