I know I'll have another dog someday, but for now, I've been appreciating just Jackson.

It's easier to train just one dog. He's super easy to take everywhere that he's allowed to go. People are more willing to invite in one dog, vs. two (friends/family/etc). On vacations, they charge per dog per room often times in hotels. He's already totally trained, and very easy - no worrying about waking up early if I don't have to, or middle of the night potty trips. I know he's reliable out in public. It's easier walking with one (whenever I walk with two, picking up poop is a much bigger ordeal, LOL). It's cheaper (heartworm, flea tick meds, food, vet visits, etc). And I kind of like having a little pal. I'd feel bad if I could only take one for some reason and we have a really strong bond.
