I've posted in this section so many times, and each time it takes a piece of my heart away, knowing the great sadness and loss that is felt. This time, it's for a family that has grown so dear to me, and the pain is deeper now. Your heart has such a huge capacity to love, and with that comes great sorrow when coping with the tragic loss of a pup so young and loved. You gave Zoey the greatest gift of all, and I include in that your love so pure for her and your boys. Though Zoey's life was short here, she had quite a life while with your loving family. I am so grateful that you had last week in the park and also your serene morning together. Those images and special memories of love shared together will remain as snapshots embedded in your heart. On an engraved cube with Kiwi's image, it says "Love Lasts Forever." Those words are so true, and I believe you already know that because of the deep relationship you form with those you love.

I know this is going to be a quiet Mother's Day, but I hope it is one where you remember how special a mom you are to your babies. They are in the very best of hands and are so lucky to be loved by you.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I feel such pain as I think of my dear friend grieving, but I also am grieving for Zoey's loss. I grew to love her too. I loved her sweetness and vulnerabilities, and I loved her because she was your little girl. I am available any time, no matter what the hour, if you need to talk to someone who loves you dearly.
