My baby who is 9 months old today is also only 3 pounds, 3 ounces and is going thru tests due to a liver problem, but it isn't a liver shunt. We will keep getting her blood tested to see if the count goes up and up and if so then she will need a liver biopsy to see what's going on.

Good advice...but i would avoid giving nutrical on a daily basis. Nutrical has a specific purpose, and it is not a a nutritional supplement unless prescribed by a vet to treat a disorder. If used on a regular basis it can contribute to diabetes due to its extremely high sugar content. Nutrical is great for treating hypoglycemia in puppies, but can be dangerous if misused or overused
