As for her being a mutt I think not.
I would love to have 100% Yorkie but she was a gift because the person who had her couldn't keep her.
I would never call one of my own children mutts since they are mixed.
So I will not call Lil Miss Cherry a mutt.
Yes, I have gotten a dog from shelter years ago...He had a great life with us. Lived about 15 years then passed away. He was beaten by his 1st owners. So we loved him more then anything he only had one eye. So yes Shelter are great. |
A mutt is an mixed dog. We call my moms beagle mixes mutts all the time its not a bad word. Mixes should not be breed. Breeding is for those who are trying to better the breed. If you love your dog so much why risk her life? Anybody who breeds should have both dogs checked for genetic problems as well as make sure both are free from LP not to mention have some one around who knows what there doing in case a problem arises during whelping. But mixes should absolutely not be breed period if someone wants a mix then they should adopt one of the million who are homeless in shelters. Sense your comparing your dog to your kids would you impregnate one of your kids so there sibling could have a kid?
