I'm also new to North Carolina, 90 days now and loving it so far.

I do have one question that I didn't see posted, how are these little guys with water, lakes etc. We had a maltese and (still have) a Great Dane (he just turned 7) they love(d) the water & fishing & laying in their little baby pool.

Thanks

Hello and welcome from the UK!

Brilliant news - you doing all the research and finding out as much as you possibly can first - the correct way to go...

As far as water's concerned - I can only speak for our Harry . We've just got home from an area called the Norfolk Broads, and spent a week on and off a boat - he was absolutely amazing and loved every moment of it....

We kept his harness on, and tethered him with his nylon training lead so that he had to keep within the confines of the edges of the boat. He would lean on the side, with the wind in his hair (the old sea-dog!) he looked like a shampoo advert....

Good luck with your search - it'll happen when it's meant to! Sally + Harry x
