The vet visit went well today. We are going to "wait and see' which is exactly what I want to do. I am going to bring Layla back up to 100% activity (her usual hour walks and playing ball in the backyard) and see if this triggers her knee. If it does- off to surgery we go. If not, it was a one time thing and we are good! I fully expect it to bother her knee but I like that we are not rushing into surgery. She is now a phase 3 (was a phase 1 back in '08). She is also a bit bow legged (did not know!) which is not helping matters. THe best part is, if she has to have surgery- this centre shares its space with an ER vet so she would be transferred there at night and would be watched throughout the night. Thanks all for your help!
