My dog does not really care to be brushed and it was introduced right away. I decided very early on due to her cottony coat to shave her body and I keep her legs and face long. There are a few others who also have this hair cut, its very easy to maintain, its FREEZING in Massachusetts in the winter but she wears sweaters or fleece PJ's in the winter.
