I can totally understand what a relief this is for you and your husband. I've been on SSDI for 4 years, and have raised my autistic, intellectually delayed son as a single mom, now he turned 18 last year we were able to get him back on his own SSI and a adult child benefit, making it where we could afford to move out of rural town we lived in for the past 9 years. We just moved a few weeks ago and already so much happier. i know the enormous toll it takes on a peron to apply for benefits and go through the process. One suggestion you might be interested in is you can now have your dog for your husband as a service dog, that would be something that your husband will need to talk to his primary Dr. I am glad things are working out and the wait is over.
