How big do you have them cut? I get over paranoid and always get things that are too big for her and then she can't eat them. I am not sure how big your babies are, but Sophie is 4.5lbs. Thanks for your suggestion though, we are likely going to Whole Foods this weekend anyway so I will check them out.

After I posted this I decided that we are going to go back to premade raw. I know people still think it isn't the greatest, but maybe after awhile I will try this again. I haven't slept all night watching her and the little princess has been snoring away all night and now she is playing with one of our cats.

I should have mentioned in the original post that yes, the bone is on the floor and not on a plate or mat or anything. There is a large dinner plate off to the side. She is just hard to get a picture off, so when she took it off of the plate my husband told her to drop it and I took a picture. She definitely didn't eat it on the carpet! It was her first time, she is still learning -she has been eating the raw patties and they stay in the bowl when she eats them. The concern with her beard...if you are concerned, she was due for a bath anyway and her face and paws were washed thoroughly.

We tried to done the prey model and I don't think I can handle it. She loved it, but I definitely don't think I am ready for it...so back to patties we go!
I have a 7.5 pounder, and then my other two are 3.5-4lbs (depending on their winter weight ). I have the butcher cut the Bison back bone (ie, aka rib bones) into about 3-4 inches. So, if in the package of Bison bones (up in the Pet Freezer, or back in the human area) maybe there are 8 bones. I'll ask the butcher to cut those 8 bones into thirds or in half - so I end up w/ a lot more bones, and they're a better size.

Our Wylie is a super aggressive chewer, and he can't get anything off of the Bison bones except the meat. They're awesome for scraping their teeth bc they gnaw at them for a good while after the meat is gone. I love those Bison bones for my kiddos.
