When I first got Teaka she was so small, she fit in a Tea Cup. I wanted something short, snappy just like a Yorkie. I played around with Tika. But I thought that people would pronounce it Tick-a. Not very pretty sounding. Then I thought Teeka. Like a golf tee. That would work. So she was Teeka for about a week. A co-worker of mine was sending a gift to her and asked if this is how you spell her name T-e-a-k-a? I said no. The more I thought of it, the more I liked it. Plus T-e-a... Tea Cup. It fits!
