Hello Yorkie Talk,
I am a new first time pet owner and I choose a Yorkie as my first pet. I really did not no what I was getting into but as of right now I love my Yorkie (Iris) so much. She is such a bundle of joy, but she is so hard headed. I have had many many issues with her and it seems like I am stuck in a pickle. I welcomed Iris into my life on March 26, 2012 and at first everything went well and than a week or two after she got really sick. My boyfriend forgot to watch her and let her eat something really bad which made her throw up like crazy and she pooped right after she threw up. I rushed her to the vet and they tried to say it could be Provo. I allowed them to run some tests and she came up negative. I spent so much money on medicine and diet food for her and right after we got home she was perfectly fine. And than exactly a week after my mother slammed the door on Iris's left hing leg. (Iris weigh only 2 pounds). Iris wouldn't put her leg down and she cried for such a long time. Her leg felt like it was broken. I had to rush her to the vet but when I got there the vet said they could not take her and that I had to go to the emergency clinic. The doctor at the clinic said she was fine that the door slamming on her just scared her. The clinic ran some tests and did some x-ray and said she was perfectly fine. (The visit cost me $180) About a week later Iris went to the vet to get her shots and de-wormer and after she got her de-wormer she started gagging like she was going to vomit but nothing came out. I called the vet back and told them about it and they told me to bring her back. The vet told me that they didn't know what was going on and if I wanted to know they would have to run some tests because it could be a lot of things. I told the vet I did not know because last time I let them tell me it was something serious and spent so much money Iris was perfectly fine. So the vet lady was like why is it a finical issue. It seems like the vet is always trying to get me for money. Since all of these situation, Iris's training slowed down because I wanted to train her when she is in good shape and in a good mind set. But it seems like Iris don't want to learn! She does not come when I call her! She does what she wants when she wants! What should I do!!!???!!!

Or should I mention it seems like the top of her head is balding and her coat seems to be getting thinner too!!
