i think it all depends onthe doggy, for instance my coco's hair grows super fast, if i didn't get him a trim his hair would be super long and he is only 1. i also feed him missing link wich is a supplement with the vitamins and minerals that coats need to grow and be healthy. my coco's hair is very shiny and really soft. you should try it
