Thank goodness she didn't stray far. I have gotten that panic feeling too. I'm yelling "Ahi!! Ahi girl! Where are you??" and if I just shut my mouth and turned around she is on my heel.(She always likes to follow behind me) I felt so relieved and stupid.
My little munchkin doesn't make noises but for the most part she comes when I call her.
Give her hugs from us too.
I bet you will be double checking that sliding door from now on.
