Hi Eileen I have the same thing with Alfie he is always licking at his paws and hates walking on shingle or stones ,had it checked out and the vet says nothing wrong, Lottie on the other hand is like a mountain goat and walks happily over anything!!
Hope you get something to help, try washing her feet with a damp faceclothi.
I even tried little socks.
