 Exagerated Swallowing
I had a bit of a scare tonight with Frankie. I just got back from the animal hospital. I had taken him outside to go to the bathroom this evening and he came back up onto the deck like gagging and then he vomited a couple of time but kept up the gagging so after a half an hour or so I took him to the hospital and they gave him an x-ray but didn't see anything so they gave him a seditive. Apparently he is doing what they called exagerated swallowing and is just swallowing air, so his belly is full of it. He wil be alright I just have watch him tonight and in the morning and if it doesn't go away go to my regular vet tomorrow for futher examination. I was so scared, I thought for sure he was choking on something. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? |
