If you are saying the BATS test came back elevated and that is why you are doing laser, at least consider changing diet to a low protein one, and not to rely on laser tx alone. |
I'll try to give a quick review of history
Christabel was scheduled to be spayed in February. Blood work came back with elevated liver (135) and slightly elevated white blood count
Vet put her on antibiotics and switched from frontline plus to reg frontline
Retested in March. White blood count normal. Liver count 250.
Retested in April liver count 214
Just retested and liver count 168.
I did not use any frontline after March
She is going to do a bile acid test tomorrow and start the laser therapy.
She has been talking with another vet here in Birmingham that has had great results using the laser on a few of her patients with liver problems so she suggested trying this along with the bile acid test before going to a specialist
