I grew up with poodles, so teacup was not an uncommon term to hear. It wasn't until I started reading info about yorkies that I learned yorkies aren't classified the same way.
I realize now that some breeders (I use the term loosely

) use "teacup" in an effort to make more money. Personally, with my poodle upbringing, I still hear teacup and think tiny... like when I hear teapot and think fluffy (bigger). I also have to admit I seldom notice the advertisements! Guess I'm just so focused on reading new posts and seeing pictures of everyone's adorable furbabies
