Congrats on the new addition to your family! The first night for us was all about figuring out what Max wanted.
For instance, I learned Max had a strong aversion to plastic and would not drink out of the travel bowls I had for the car trip.
I also learned that for his safety, I needed an xpen. We bought that the next morning. It made him feel comfortable and secure because he had one at his breeder's home.
Best advice for a new pup -- make sure your new baby gets adequate rest or downtime. It's easy to over-handle pups because everyone wants to meet them and play with them.
