If you're scared to death, you could set up a webcam & monitor her for a while from work or view the footage when you get home & see if she stays consistent on how she reacts over time - if she horribly stressed or doing dangerous things & change up things accordingly. I have had to go back to work & leave dogs in the past & most adapted very well. They do some "policing" around the house from time to time but mostly they adjust their schedule to sleeping a good deal of the time one is away. My Jilly, on work days I was home sick, even though I was here with her, often kept to her usual schedule of daytime napping just as if I had gone to work - and sometimes she even went into the bedroom to nap, even though I was camped out on the den couch. So, I think if you have safety-proofed the house & her toys, chewies, etc., you can rest assured that normal dogs usually adapt to lifestyle changes unless they are ill or have a great deal of current & unremitting stress in their lives.
