well everyone will do this differently but what i did was as soon as oscar got all his shots (about 16 wks) i started taking him to pet stores for socialization.
He was very tiny but he always walked everywhere, i never carried him. I did not want a nuerotic dog. We went to lots of different places. He also went thru a 6 week course at petsmart. All in all he does really well when we go out.
Never barks, likes other dogs.
