My dog Vivi had a blockage from rawhide..she was throwing up and had runny poops. I took her to the vet and they put an IV in her arm. They also did something to help her pass the blockage. She was really sick for a couple of days and definately needed the attention of the vet. I don't think you are just being a first time parent....trust your instincts.. I think you should at the very least call your vet.
