I can feel you coming all unraveled about the choas in your life at this moment....and if I can feel it, your baby certainly can feel it. You are correct....you certainly can not let your pup run off leash around the apartment complex....there may be other dogs about and you have to be able to keep her safe in any circumstance. The activity level I believe, is just the baby in her...yes there are more laid back babies, but you have the energizer bunny, so you have to deal with that! Long walks, long periods of play time inside the apartment with games like fetch or chasing a Skineeze toy that you have tied a cord on...throw it out and then pull it back by the cord...she will give chase....balls that are just a little bigger than her mouth, so that when she tries to close her mouth around the ball, it "squirts" out of her grasp and she will chase it around....swimming and playing in the bath tub....I have been known to take a 1-2 ring blow up kiddie pool, put it in the bathroom or on the patio, put a little water in the pool, and let them play water games....start with about 2-4 inches of water to get her used to it...throw a rubber ball in the water for her to play with.....You are looking at all interactive games....you are owned by a Yorkie and they exist to be your devoted shadow.....they do not do well by themselves, alone, entertaining themselves. You need to just stop and take some deep breaths, and try to relax a little, because she is picking up on your turmoil, and that is not helping her! Potty training?? Patience and persistance and repeativeness....you keep doing the same thing over and over and over and over....and you WILL eventually win this battle of the wills!
