Well it all depends on your vet on whether she stays overnight or not. Some vets require it, and some don't. If you bring her home the day of, she will still be very groggy from the anethesia. So don't expect her to get overly excited about food or water or playtime. She'll need to be confined to her pen or crate (whichever you use) where she can rest and not be disturbed. If you pick her up the day after, she should be just fine. She might still be a little sleepy from the whole visit, but she won't be groggy like she will the day of the surgery.
