My first yorkie Gina would run like a rabbit until she was around 6 yrs old. Zoey is worse than Gina. When Zoey was about 6 mos I bought a chokeless harness and took her to the park. As we were walking back to the car she somehow pulled out of the harness and took off. I called and she ignored me. Panic, heart attack, everything. Then I laid down in the grass and she stopped and came back to see what was happening. I grabbed her. I have also "lost" her in our backyard - even though it is totally fenced in. She was in the bushes doing something. I freaked after calling her and she wouldn't come. Your Oscar is a good boy for coming when called.
