You have a different idea and perception of your dogs. The way that lady acted reminds me of how my grandpa would have acted if one of his hunting hounds wandered off. His farm dogs were never house pets, they had freedom to roam. They were fed cornbread and table scraps. His believed dogs ought to earn their keep. They were for hunting and guarding property. When my grandparents were way up in years and living in town, some one gave Gran a tiny Chihuahua. That was a totaly different story. They spoiled that dog. My grandpa carried Lady Boots in his shirt and pealed apples for her. Gran made her fried eggs, and knitted her little blankets ! Lady Boots wouldn't let anyone near their bed, which was her little throne !All the grandchildren were afraid of the tiny sharp teeth Lady Boots used to keep them in their place.
