The state gives safety ratings from 1-100 to each bridge...and the old Cooper River Bridges received a safety rating of 4!!!!!!!!

This new bridge is 8 traffic lanes wide, not to mention the walking/biking lanes so it barely even feels like a bridge at all.  |

I haven't been over the new bridge yet, but I had my one and only almost panic attack
while driving across the old Cooper River Bridge! I'm GLAD that it is gone and I never have to drive over it again!!
Sully was very brave walking across the new bridge!
